I have a little bit more of exam stuff to get over with, then it’s freedom until the end of the month. Yay I can’t wait! 🙂
Then: I managed to read two books this week, one of which is a re-read. First, I read Open House by Jill Mansell, loved it and I gave it 4 stars. The second book I read was a re-read of The Death and Life of Charlie St Cloud by Ben Sherwood. I recently watched the movie adaptation, so I just wanted to immerse myself into the world of Charlie St Cloud once again, hence the re-read. I loved it as much as I did when I first read it, so 5 stars from me. 🙂
Now: I’m currently reading The Simple Rules of Love by Amanda Brookfield. It’s about 500+ pages but I’m only about 100+ pages in, so it’s a slow progress. Plus, it’s a multi-generational family saga so I’m finding it a bit hard at first to keep track of who is who and how they are related. I’m enjoying it so far though. However, I just realized this is a sequel to another book by Amanda Brookfield called Relative Love but I felt I can still understand what is going on without reading the first book.
Next: I’m planning to read Summer at Rose Island, which is the third book in the White Cliff Bay series by Holly Martin. It’s the only ARC I’m going to read this month. I’ve been wanting to read this for so long, so obviously I cannot wait to go back to White Cliff Bay. Wonder if characters from previous books in the series is going to appear, cos that would be great to catch up with them 🙂 I am also planning to read Our Song by Dani Atkins, which has been on my TBR list since it was released earlier this year.
I’m also planning to read books from my Bout of Books 16.0 TBR list, which I have not decided yet, so I’m excited for that. The readathon really couldn’t have come at a better time. I would have been done with all my work stuff that week so I will obviously have a lot of free time to dedicate to reading. I will definitely share my TBR list before the readathon starts 🙂 (If you didn’t know what is Bout of Books readathon, go and visit their site to join in the fun)
What have you read this week? 🙂
