I have a little bit more of exam stuff to get over with, then it’s freedom until the end of the month. Yay I can’t wait! 🙂
Anyway, here’s my round-up for this week, a feature hosted by Lipsyy from Lipsyy’s Lost and Found. It’s similar to WWW Wednesday (hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words), so I’m linking to both
Then: I managed to read two books this week, one of which is a re-read. First, I read Open House by Jill Mansell, loved it and I gave it 4 stars. The second book I read was a re-read of The Death and Life of Charlie St Cloud by Ben Sherwood. I recently watched the movie adaptation, so I just wanted to immerse myself into the world of Charlie St Cloud once again, hence the re-read. I loved it as much as I did when I first read it, so 5 stars from me. 🙂
Now: I’m currently reading The Simple Rules of Love by Amanda Brookfield. It’s about 500+ pages but I’m only about 100+ pages in, so it’s a slow progress. Plus, it’s a multi-generational family saga so I’m finding it a bit hard at first to keep track of who is who and how they are related. I’m enjoying it so far though. However, I just realized this is a sequel to another book by Amanda Brookfield called Relative Love but I felt I can still understand what is going on without reading the first book.
Next: I’m planning to read Summer at Rose Island, which is the third book in the White Cliff Bay series by Holly Martin. It’s the only ARC I’m going to read this month. I’ve been wanting to read this for so long, so obviously I cannot wait to go back to White Cliff Bay. Wonder if characters from previous books in the series is going to appear, cos that would be great to catch up with them 🙂 I am also planning to read Our Song by Dani Atkins, which has been on my TBR list since it was released earlier this year.
I’m also planning to read books from my Bout of Books 16.0 TBR list, which I have not decided yet, so I’m excited for that. The readathon really couldn’t have come at a better time. I would have been done with all my work stuff that week so I will obviously have a lot of free time to dedicate to reading. I will definitely share my TBR list before the readathon starts 🙂 (If you didn’t know what is Bout of Books readathon, go and visit their site to join in the fun)
What have you read this week? 🙂
I’m so glad you enjoyed the Jill Mansell. That’s another one for my TBR list. I love her books. They’re always so reliably good and enjoyable 🙂
Good luck with the readathon. You deserve a break after all your hard work.

The Death and Life of Charlie St Cloud has been on my TBR for a long time. I really need to pick it up. I loved the movie, but never made it to the books. I’ll be doing Bout of Books too….I’m doing 2 readathons at the same time, one just starts a couple days before. Good thing they are book flexible so I can read the same books. Happy Reading 🙂

The Life and Death of Charlie St. Cloud is such a gorgeous novel – and it’s one of the very few books where I love the movie just as much. You’ve made me want to find my copy out and re-read. 🙂

I haven’t read any of these but was curious about Charlie St. Cloud – until they turned it into a movie and put an actor I can’t stand into it. It shouldn’t have done but it put me off. Maybe I’ll give it another think though, since you loved it so much 🙂

I haven’t read anything by Mansell in years. I love her books though.
