Hello and welcome to my weekly wrap up where I wrap up my life in terms of general happenings, books that I’ve read for the past week, books that I’ve purchased or received for reviews, reviews and also other bookish posts that I’ve published on the blog.
GENERAL UPDATES
This week was another one of those busy weeks. I had courses to attend, and it was also the first week back to school for my students so I had been busy with introductory classes. So naturally, reading time and blog time was a bit slow. Did not get to post much last week. 😦
But anyway, I had the best time on Saturday! There’s a HUGE book sale going on right now, so I made the time to go in the morning. I haven’t been to this kind of book sales in a while (maybe 2,3 years?) because of time constraint, but this time around, I promised myself I would go, so I did. They had this deal where you buy a box priced at either RM99.90 (24USD) or RM79.90 (19USD) and you fill up the box(es) with any books of your choice from the sale. I chose the 24USD box and fill it up with 32 books. I got 25 books for myself and the other 7 books are for my niece. It was crazy and if I didn’t have enough self-control, I would have gone and get another box. You can scroll down a bit to see my haul, which I super love 🙂
BOOKS I READ
Like I mentioned before, it was a slow reading week and I only got to finish 2 books and a novella. But I love them, so that’s good enough for me. I’ve only posted the review for I’ll Be the One, so do look out for review of the other two soon 🙂
- I’ll Be the One by Hazel James
- Those Summer Nights by Mandy Baggot
- The One with the Engagement Party (Bridesmaids #1) by Erin Lawless

From Big Bad Wolf Book Sale
Before this, whenever I went to this kind of book sales, I would just grab and grab everything regardless of whether I really like it or not because they tend to be cheap but I would always leave those books unread or just give them away for free. But this time around, my strategy is to grab books that I would actually read and I think I did well here. And would you look at that Sarah Addison Allen book???? That is such a gorgeous hardcover and just my luck because there was only one left there. 😀 That book is now currently displayed so beautifully with the cover facing out on my bookshelves. 🙂

That sounds like so much fun. The one thing I miss about living in a big city is the ability to go to giant book sales.

Great book haul! I love book sales and that one sounds fabulous. Oh and I like the cover of Those Summer Nights too- I just saw that one recently over at Goodreads as I was looking at book covers to spotlight. I love the summery vibe of it.
