Book Beginning – Magic and Macaroons by Bailey Cates

Book Beginning on Fridays is a meme hosted by Rose City Reader where we share the first sentence (or so) of the book we are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires. However, instead of the book that I am currently reading, I thought of using random books on my TBR-list, just to remind me that I have that book and I need to read it. heh :p

The book that I chose for this week is Magic and Macaroons by Bailey Cates. I have to say that I pick this book mostly for the title and the cover cos I have never read cozy mysteries before but had wanted to (check out my post on this genre), so I thought why not start with this? I love magic and sweet things, so that’s a win 🙂
